Hi, I'm Chaisity Shay Paddio-Owens a native of Jennings, La, I have been in the death care industry for over 17 years since the age of 19. One thing I can say is this industry is truly a calling. I've decided to open my own funeral home to better serve my families. I understand all diversity, religions, ethic backgrounds, financial hardships, no 2 families are the same but we treat all with dignity and the utmost respect they deserve. I'm very compassionate and love what I do.
Aside of my passion, I'm the wife of David Owens of Lake Charles for almost 6 years. We have 4 beautiful children Dj, Parker, Taylor and Dash. I love food, my favorite food is crawfish, boudin, okra, and gumbo. My joys are family time, escape rooms, ziplining, cooking, traveling, and spoiling my mom, husband, and kids. For the past 7 years, I have worked for the United State Postal Service as a Supervisor and Mail Carrier. Chaisity and I have been together for 14 years and married for the past 6 years. We have a well blended family making up 4 wonderful children. This has been my wife's passion way before I met her so it only right that I support her in every way possible. She has tough me how to understand the death care industry, the ins and out of the trade. It helped me see things in a different light and it brings me peace to be able to help others during their difficult times.

I graduated from Dequincy High School in 2012. I then completed mortuary school through the Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Services in December 2022, graduating with honors and distinction.
First and foremost I'm very family-oriented and love doing anything that allows me to spend time with those that I love the most. In my spare time I enjoy reading and doing anything outdoors, especially swimming.
I currently deal table games at the casino, and am also working to completing my internship with Mortuary Center of SWLA. I chose this field because from a very early age I've always been really intrigued by death. I also love being able to help those that are in need and the two really go hand in hand. I truly believe this is my calling in life. It's what I'm meant to do and I've never been more sure about anything. I look forward to serving my community as well as surrounding communities and all the families in them.

I work as a registered social worker with the Department of Children and Family Services as a foster care caseworker in Plaquemine, Louisiana. My passion has always been working with families and helping them in any situation. Showing empathy and understanding all backgrounds, it has also helped me with the path that I'm on. I worked my first funeral and made my first removal in 2017 when Chaisity managed another funeral home. After helping with these two task, I knew that Chaisity had helped me unlock another passion of mine.
