Obituary for Tina Augustine

Tina Augustine, born on April 29, 1962, passed away peacefully on 16 October 2024. She dedicated nearly 20 years of her life to serving patients at Memorial Hospital, where her compassion and commitment to care touched the lives of many.

If you knew Tina, you knew she hosted the most memorable parties, where friends and family gathered to dance to zydeco and blues music. Her home was a place of joy and celebration, reflecting her vibrant spirit.

Tina will be remembered not only for her unwavering dedication to her patients but also for her loving spirit and nurturing nature. She leaves a legacy of kindness that will continue to inspire those who knew her. Tina embraced her faith and gave herself to Christ, finding peace and purpose in her spiritual journey.

Tina was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Cora Matthews; father, Wilson Augustine; and her brothers, Lionel Hamilton, Michael Augustine, and Johnny Hamilton.

She is survived by her three sisters: Brunette White (Roland) of Lake Charles, LA; Katrina Charles of Lake Charles, LA; and Sylvia Ford (Alcaeus) of Raeford NC. Texas. She is also survived by her brothers: Wilson Augustine Jr. of Rayne, LA; Donald Ray Augustine (Ruby) of Lake Charles, LA; Freddie Matthews (Angie) of Port Arthur, TX; and Gary Jones of Atlanta, GA. Additionally, she leaves behind a cherished array of nieces and nephews who will always remember her.

She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of all who loved her.
