Paul Hubert Francis Sr was born in Ridge, LA to the late Sherman and Felicia Dronet. He received his formal education at Katie B Thomas High School in Elton, LA. He spent most of his adult life in Gulfport, MS where he was well known for his contributions to the community.

Paul worked for DuPont and retired after 32 years. He also served as the Election Assistant for Harrison County Election Committee, in Gulfport, MS for over 10 years. Paul was active member of St. Theresa Catholic in Gulfport, MS where he supervised the food pantry.

He enjoyed spending time with family and doing yard work. He enjoyed watching sports especially the 49ers and discussing the "deal and outfit".

He is preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Felicia Francis, his brother and sister in law, Leo and Evon Francis, who raised him, his 3 brothers, Mayo Francis, Sherman Francis, Sidney Francis, and his four sisters, Gertie Francis, Lydia Guillory, Maudry Green and Bertha Francis.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 64 years, Patricia Francis of Elton, LA, his 2 sons Paul Francis Jr of Elton, LA and Jacques (Kimberly) Francis of St. George, Utah, his 2 daughters, Monique Francis and Lisa Brooks both of Gulfport, MS. ,his siblings Eunice Brown of Lake Charles, LA and Widley (Kay) Francis of Elton, LA. He also leaves his loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and host of nieces and nephews who affectionately called him Uncle Hubert.
