Natalie Yvonne Mitchell was born on November 30, 1961 to the union of Ruby
Goffney and the late Richard Goffney in Kingsville, TX. Natalie received her elementary and secondary education in San Diego, California.
She moved to Lafayette, Louisiana in 1995 and finally settled in Jennings, Louisiana in 1997. Natalie actively engaged in community efforts with the Jeff Davis Business and Community Coalition, championing nonviolence and supporting foundations that assisted students in pursuing higher education. She dedicated twenty-six years to Wal-Mart, where she fostered many of her lifelong
friendships. For 27 years, she was a faithful member of Immanuel Worship Center and served as the church secretary. Her warm smile, compassionate heart and loving nature endeared her
to everyone she encountered. She leaves to cherish her memory her mother Ruby Goffney of DeQuincy, LA and
