Murtty Faye Ceasar, 67, was born on May 8, 1958 to the late Robert and Juanita Cezar. On March
13, 1975, Murtty married the love of her life, the late Sidney Ceasar, Jr. To this union they had two
daughters; Chaka Nyrie Ceasar Williams and Infant Di'join Sydney Ceasar. Murtty was a member of
Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Murtty was a former employee of Jefferson Davis
Parish School Board were she worked for 30 years. Murtty worked as a Cafeteria Technician for a
short period of time at Northside Jr. High School before transferring to the position of Full-time
Custodian. In 2005, Northside Jr. High merged with Jennings High School and Murtty was appointed
Head Custodian at Jennings High School where she worked until she retired on September 1, 2010.
Murtty was a dedicated employee well liked by faculty, staff and students. Whether you called her
Murtty, Murkey, Murt, or Murk she was a friend to everyone she met. She was full of fun, laughter,
and love. She had the most beautiful smile with a joking sense of humor. She enjoyed spending
time with family and friends. OH Murtty, I can just hear you laughing!!! She was a great cook, well
known for her macaroni salad, bouee, chili mac and cabbage casserole. BUT that's when we could
get her to cook. If you knew Murtty you know she loved her music, and loved to sing and dance.
Murtty loved life and lived it to the fullest.
Murtty leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Chaka (Ivory) Williams of Jennings, LA; one
stepson, Donald Ray (Raquel) Guillory, Sr.of Lake Charles, LA; one stepdaughter Yashica Butler of
Clarksville, TN; one granddaughter, KeIvy Williams of Lake Charles, LA, one grandson, Ivory "ChuCha"
Williams, Jr. of Jennings, LA; one great granddaughter, her sweet cakes Kemma Williams, eight step-
grandchildren, Kayla, Donald Jr., Te'A, Martabion, Sylvio, Sidney, Sariah, and Samuel; one step
grandchild, Heaven; one brother, Larry (Debra) Cezar of Houston, TX; four sisters, Debra Soileau of
Elton, LA; Zina (August) Botley of Fenton, LA; Laticia (Fredrick) Abraham and Shannon (Arthur)
Etienne both of Jennings, LA; four Godchildren, Frederick Soileau, Erica Joseph, Giovanni Abraham,
and Aaliyah Williams, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; one long time special friend
Dianne Pattum, and a special group of friends (The Pals)
Murtty is preceded in death by her husband Sidney Ceasar, Jr., one infant daughter, Di'join Sydney
Ceasar; her parents Robert and Juanita Cezar; her brothers, Robert Cezar, Clinton Cezar, and
Anthony Cezar; her paternal grandparents, Roy and Estella Cezar; her maternal grandmother,
Christine Moore; one nephew and godchild, Cornelius Belton; and a host of aunts, uncles, and
cousins.
