It is with heavy hearts we share the loss of Jana Elizabeth Doucet, 63, who suddenly passed away at her home succumbing to persistent medical illnesses on Wednesday September 16, 2026, leaving behind beautiful memories that will forever remain in our hearts. A giving soul who filled the lives of those around her with love and kindness. Jana’s creative spirit will live on in the hearts of all to know her.

In keeping with Jana’s wishes, she was cremated. Please join us for a memorial service in honor of Jana’s life as we say our final farewell on Sunday September 27, 2026, 2:00 - 4:00 pm at Mortuary Center of Southwest Louisiana in Jennings, La.

She is survived by her devoted partner Paul G. Aucoin; her children Victor C. Romero Jr., Natasha B. LeBlanc, Madilyn A. Thibodeaux; adopted grandchildren Carter and Emily Belveal; one sister Dena James Cummins; nieces Jessica D. Duhon and Denea C. Aguillard; as well as several grandchildren, aunts, and cousins.

Jana was lovingly preceded in death by her mother and father Charis Ann Bigby and Dr. Richard James, as well as one daughter Jacilyn A. Thibodeaux.
