Mary Rochelle Rushing

Funeral services for Mary Rochell Rushing, 77, of Jennings, Visitation will be held at Roanoke Baptist Church July 11, 2026 8 am till 3:30 pm. Services start at 4 pm. Bro. Darrell Hieronymous will officiate the service. She will be cremated, and the remains will be buried in Double Spring Cemetery in Mathiston, Mississippi.

She was a native of Greenville, Ms. Then she moved to Iowa, Louisiana for approximately 15 years, and later settled in Jennings, LA. She was a licensed cosmetologist, and later became a licensed Cosmetologist Instructor. She also owned and operated her own beauty shop. Later in life, she became a caregiver. She was a strong believer in family. She was a loving mother,grandmother and great grandmother, a friend to all. She was a strong believer in her faith and Romans 10:9 was one of her favorite scriptures.

Survivors include her children,Steven Rushing of Welsh, Brian Rushing of Pembroke, NH., Ricky Rushing of Moss Bluff, Jimmy Rushing of Lake Charles and Vicky Rushing of Jennings. She was a grandmother to many grandchildren and a great grandmother to many great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by Tom and Eula May Rochelle. Her husband, Jimmy Lee Rushing, and her daughter Rachel Touchberry.
