Obituary

Olevia Remo was born in Montgomery, Louisiana on October 20, 1948, to the late Frank Jackson and Lezette Hampton. At a young age, Olevia was baptized and began his journey of faith. He believed in Jesus Christ and carried his faith with him throughout his life. Olevia enjoyed taking long walks, watching wrestling and football. He was preceded in death by his parents: Frank Jackson and Lezette Hampton, his six siblings: Johnnie Remo, Otha Hampton, Sr., David Hampton, Leonard Hampton, Tom Ivory Monette, Landry Hampton, Andrew Hampton and Australia Monette; one daughter, Eva Lezette Remo, and one grandchild. He leaves to cherish his memories of his beloved wife of fifty-three years, Sherry Remo, two daughters: Jobina and Julia Remo, both of Lake Charles, Louisiana; three step children: Chelsea (Melvin) Alfred of Fenton, Louisiana, Chad Blair of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Major Everett Williams of Atlanta, Georgia; three siblings: Daisy B. Taylor of Port Arthur, Texas, Erma Lee Hawkins of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Belton Hampton of Columbia, LA, thirteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and family that loved him very much.
