In Loving Memory of Charley Grice Jr.

December 1, 1954 – July 18, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Charley Grice Jr., who entered eternal rest on July 18, 2026, at the age of 71.

Born on December 1, 1954, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Charley lived a life defined by hard work, dedication, and love for his family. A skilled carpenter by trade, he took great pride in his craftsmanship and the work of his hands. His strong work ethic and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Above all else, Charley cherished his family. His greatest joy came from spending time with his children and grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Whether sharing stories, offering guidance, or simply enjoying time together, he was a loving father and grandfather whose presence brought comfort and strength to those around him.

Charley is lovingly survived by his three sons, Charley Grice III, Travis Grice, and Terry Grice, along with his beloved grandchildren and many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss him.

He was preceded in death by his father Charley Grice Sr. , his mother, Virgie Louise Drake Grice, and his brother, Andrew Lee Grice.

Though our hearts mourn his passing, we find comfort in knowing that his legacy of love, hard work, and devotion to family will live on through those whose lives he touched. He will be forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.

A memorial service celebrating Charley’s life will be held at the Mortuary Center of Southwest Louisiana, 16388 Highway 26, Jennings, Louisiana, on July 29, 2026, with visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor his life, share memories, and celebrate the man he was.
