Bradson Lehman was born on October 20, 1943, in Jennings, Louisiana, to the late William Lehman and Orelia Frank Lehman. He peacefully departed this life on June 29, 2026, at the home of his beloved son.
A graduate of Jefferson Davis High School, Bradson dedicated more than 30 years as a skilled welder at Leevac Shipyard, where he was known for his craftsmanship and strong work ethic. Bradson lived a life rooted in faith, family, and love. Bradson was the proud father of two sons, Bernard and Elrich, and his love and pride for them were always evident. Later in life, he was blessed with a daughter, Nastaccia, who quickly became his pride and joy. Kind, humble, soft-spoken, and blessed with a heart of gold, Bradson was always willing to lend a helping hand. Bradson cared for his siblings displaying the quiet strength, responsibility, and compassion that defined his life. He enjoyed westerns, dressing sharp, and playing his guitar. Music was one of his greatest passions, and he wrote his own song, "I Just Want to Thank Mr. Chubby Checker”. He treasured family gatherings, holidays, birthdays, and sharing good food with those he loved. He also had a sweet tooth. He enjoyed cookies, ice cream, and honey buns. A faithful man of God, Bradson prayed often, attended church regularly, and believed that family should always remain united with God at the center. More than anything, he cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. Bradson's life was a beautiful example of faith, humility, love, and devotion to family. His legacy of kindness, generosity, and unwavering love will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory the mother of his children, Margaret McIntyre of Opelousas, LA; two sons, Bernard Lehman (Eccles) of Lawton, OK, and Elrich Lehman (Melissa) of Carencro, LA; one daughter, Nastaccia Levi of Jennings, LA; 15 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Nelda Malone of Houston, TX, Beatrice (Alfred) Zackary of Jennings, LA, and Mathilda Byers of Beaumont, TX; three extended sisters, Odelia Williams and Cecelia Byers of Jennings, LA, and Willie Belle George of Lake Charles, LA; one special nephew, Christopher Lehman (Angela) of Jennings, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
