Frederick Lee Melanson was born January 11,1952 in Welsh,Louisiana to the late Raymond & Arlene (Bias) Melanson.

Frederick Lee Melanson, 72, entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 3,2025, peacefully at home surrounded by his family.

He was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles, Louisiana and served as a Marine Corps veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Arlene ( Bias) Melanson; his two children: son Damon White, daughter Dominika (Melanson) Antoine; grandson Terren Zeno; four brothers: Austin Melanson Sr, Emerson Melanson Sr.,Ervin Melanson & Henry Melanson; 1 sister: Roberta (Melanson) Green.

He was an active member of Embracing The Journey to Heaven Ministries. He attended Sunday school, Bible study and any function that was held. He loved his church and ensured there was coffee ground available at all times for coffee and donuts.

His memories shall never fade as they forever embedded in the hearts of his devoted family including, Five sons:Frederick Lee Reado, Terry (Romaine) Zeno both of Lake Charles,La. Cedrick Victorian of Austin, Texas, Braddrick Victorian, Jawade Victorian of Oberlin, La.; One daughter Twana Melanson of Lake Charles,La.;Two brothers Joseph (Betty) Melanson, Pastor Rainney (Francis) Melanson both of Lake Charles,La.;Four sisters: Edna (late Wayne) Lyons,Roanna (Henry) Melanson Guillory,Evelyn (late Forest) Jack all of Lake Charles, La.,Mary Ann Johnson of Mamou, La.; One Godchild Billie Melanson Garcia of Mamou,La.; He also leaves a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews,relatives,friends and church family to mourn his departure and forever cherish his loving memory, smile and hand shake.
