Erma Jean Johnson,81 departed this life on Saturday, February 22, 2025, in a local
hospital. Erma was born on September 16, 1943, to Alma and Harry Bellard. Erma
graduated from Bethune High School in Welsh, Louisiana. Erma was employed at
the Jennings Manufacturing Company in Jennings, LA and The Old Age Nursing
Home in Welsh, LA.
Erma is preceded in death by her husband Harry Johnson, her mother and father
Alma and Harry Bellard, one brother James Brazil, and two sisters Charlotte
Pattum and Ruth Bellard. Those left to cherish her memories are her brother
Harold Bellard of Los Angeles, CA and Cousin Eugene Roberson of Houston, TX.
Three children Gerry (Melissa) Johnson of Welsh, LA; Kevin Johnson of Lake
Charles, LA, and Jacqueline Johnson of Beaumont, TX. Grandkids Reagan (Isaiah)
Johnson, Ellisse Johnson of Lake Charles, LA; Baraka, Keiona, and Jayden
Johnson of Welsh, LA; Anisa Johnson of Sulphur, LA; Nico Johnson of Houma,
LA; Kelly Drake of Houston, TX; and Sebastian (Linda) Guillory of Pueblo, CO.
And 9 great-grandkids. Two nephews Johnathan (Lauren) of Baton Rouge,
Marcus (Suzette) Pattum of Welsh, LA; LaTroy Pattum of Welsh, LA and Candice
(Jermaine) Pattum of Humble, TX. With a host of many relatives and friends.
