Emeldia Marie Dugar was born on January 22, 1954 in Crowley La to Mr & Mrs Felix Dugar Jr. She was the oldest on 7 children. A dedicated daughter, mother, grandmother, godmother, aunt, sister, cousin, & friend. At an early age she was baptized at St Theresa's Catholic Church. She graduated from Crowley High School in 1972. After graduating she joined the Army where she served for 20 years and reached the rank of Sergeant. Her last duty station was in San Antonio Texas where she raised her children but spent her last years in Crowley La. She enjoyed traveling, going to the casino, and visiting family and friends. She loved to talk about old times and encouraging others through Facebook with what we known as her "Another What's On My Mind" Post.

She leaves to mourn her three children Laquetta Dugar Of Brooklyn NY, Marcus Dugar(Donita) of San Antonio Texas, & Montica King (Aaron) of Austin, Texas. Six grandchildren Johnathan Dugar, Isaiah Dugar (LaShaya), Jeremiah Dugar, Josiah Dugar, Aarieunna King, & Kairi King, God daughter Chasity Dugar of Crowley, her sister Betty McKoy(Julian) of Charlotte North Carolina, & Marcel Dugar of Lafayette La, & one aunt Maryann Gray of Crowley La.

Her life was deeply enriched by the love and companionship of her devoted partner of over 20 years, Mr. James Jones, who now mourns the passing of his beloved. We, Emeldia's children, extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Jones for the excitement, patience, love, and care he brought into our mother's life. We pray that your heart remains filled with the cherished memories of the joy you both shared.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents August & Pearl Miller, mother & father Felix & Dorothy Dugar, sisters Pearl Canales, Dora Dugar, & Amanda Sias. Her brothers Joseph "Butch" Dugar Sr, & Michael Dugar, uncles William Miller of Lake Charles La,  & August Miller Jr (Carolyn)of Brooklyn NY, & one great niece Tiara Dugar of Crowley La.
