Earnest Ray Parker was born September 2 1939, he departed his life at Magnolia Estate Facility on March
22,2026 around 5:30 pm surrounded by family. He retired from the Lafayette Parish School System after
35 years being a custodian. He is the son of Joseph Parker and Lorris Broussard Parker. He was married
to the late Rose Parker from Jennings, La. Earnest leaves behind a legacy of love, faith and service,
cherished by 2 brothers Francis Parker(Juanita) and Gerald Parker(Patricia) ,4 children Aaron
Parker(Shawannah Parker), Kathleen Parker, Kevin Parker and Shannon Parker Sr and has 4
grandchildren, Raven Parker, Jassity George, Shannon Parker Jr and Daaylon Onezine , 5 great
grandchildren ,step children and step grandchildren.
Earnest Ray Parker is proceeded in death by his wife Rose Parker, his parents Joseph and Lorris Parker, his
brothers Whitney Parker and Floyd Parker his sisters Virginia and Victoria Sullivan. Ernest Parker lived a
good life at 86 years old, he loved to build and attend church. He establish good friends in Jennings, La
where he lived for many years. Ernest became ill, he fought a good fight until God called him home. We
want to thank the staffs of Magnolia Estate nursing home, Lafayette General and UHC Hospital for there
extended care of our love one.
Earnest's memory will forever live in our hearts of those who were blessed to know him, as his spirit now
rests in the peaceful embrace of the Lord. We will forever love and miss you.
