Dexter Keith Cormier Sr.
August 29, 1968 – August 15, 2025
Dexter Keith Cormier Sr., a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, entered eternal
rest on August 15, 2025, at the age of 56. Born in Lafayette, Louisiana, on August 29, 1968,
Dexter lived a life marked by faith, family, hard work, and laughter.
He graduated from Jennings High School, Class of 1986, and later attended USL (University
of Southwestern Louisiana). Dexter was a dedicated and loyal employee of UPS for 25 years,
respected for his reliability and work ethic. A lifelong New Orleans Saints fan, Dexter was
known for his big smile, kindness, and the joy he shared with others.
He leaves to cherish his memory:
 Children – Michael Muhammad, Khylan Cormier, and Cohen Christ Miller, and
daughter-in-law Octavia Jackson
 Granddaughters – Shara Monet Ephron and Samani Grace Wilson
 Parents – Norma Cormier Tate and Covington (Celeste) Cormier Sr.
 Siblings – Renise Cormier, Tanisha Cormier, Kiandra (Mario) Rideaux, and
Cornelius Jamar Cormier
 Uncle – William Ethridge
 Aunt – Arieaea Washington
 And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends
