Cornelius was a man of many nicknames: Nee, Neek, Cowboy, Biscuit, Cornbread, and Corn. He
loved cooking, especially Louisiana oxtails with gravy over rice. He enjoyed traveIing and family
outings. I bet y'all were wondering when we would bring in the horses. Well here we go....... To
know Cornelius is to know the love he had for horses, he would put that horse trailer anywhere. If
you saw him, the horses weren't far away. He had a passion for horses whether it was riding,
showing, judging races, or offering a helping hand of knowledge to others. He was well known
within the horse community.
Cornelius worked 20 years in the Refractory Construction field. He was an accomplished welder,
then moved up to Safety Tech; within one year he moved up to Safety Manager for BrandSafway. In
April of 2024; he was named in the Employee Spotlight. In October of 2024, he became the Site
Safety Manager for the largest project in North America. He was the ultimate professional who truly
cared about everyone's safety. He was an asset when he set foot on any project.
