Obituary for Cody Keith Guidry

Cody Keith Guidry, 46, of Jennings, Louisiana, passed away on March 22, 2026, leaving behind a family who loved him deeply and a community that will never forget his bright spirit. Cody was a loving father, son, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend, and his passing leaves a space in our hearts that can never be filled.

Cody was known for his fun, bubbly personality and his ability to make anyone laugh. He never met a stranger and could turn any moment into a memory. He had a passion for cooking and took pride in his work at Breaux's Kitchen in Jennings, where he enjoyed feeding people not just with food, but with kindness and conversation. He loved being around his friends and family, and the time he spent with them meant everything to him.

His faith was a very important part of his life. Cody loved the Lord and never missed a chance to talk about his faith or encourage someone with the Word. He attended North Side Assembly of God Church, where he found comfort, strength, and fellowship. He believed in loving people, forgiving often, and living life with joy.

Cody also loved expressing himself through his style. He loved his hair, his clothes, and always wanted to look his best. That confidence and personality were part of what made him so special. When Cody walked into a room, you knew it — and when he left, you felt it.

He is survived by his mother, Gwen Batey Castle, and stepfather, Leslie Castle; his grandmothers, Sylvia Batey and Jeanette Guidry; his daughter, Riana (William) Bowman; his brother, Jeremy (Ariel) Bellard; his sisters, Jennifer Guidry and Brittney Bellard; four nieces, Jadynn, Karlee, Alaysia, and Aubree; six nephews, Hayden, Easton, Jayce, Trey, Hunter, and Bradon; and his two precious granddaughters, Nova and Astella, who were the light of his life.

He was welcomed into Heaven by his father, Randall Guidry; his grandfathers, Hugh Batey and Wavel Guidry; and his great aunt, Sadie Trahan.

Though our hearts are broken, we find peace in knowing Cody is now resting in the arms of the Lord he loved so much. His laughter, his voice, his hugs, and his love will live on in each of us forever. He will be missed more than words can ever say, but never forgotten.

Cody's wishes were to be cremated, and cremation has been entrusted to his family.
