Cassandra "San" Wright was born on August 12, 1977, in Lake Charles, LA, to her parents Laval Woodard and James Etta Wright. Cassandra departed this earth on January 13, 2025, at the age of 47.Cassandra was a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose love, resilience, and vibrant spirit left an everlasting mark on everyone she met.Cassandra was the proud mother of seven children. Her children were the center of her world, and she poured her heart into making sure they felt loved and supported. She was also the doting grandmother of four beautiful grandchildren, who brought her endless joy. She loved spending time with them, cherishing their laughter and presence as some of her happiest moments. San had a vibrant personality and a spirit that was always on the go-just like her mother. She loved being around her closest friends, sharing conversations, laughs, and unforgettable moments. One of her favorite pastimes was playing bingo, a love she picked up from her Nanny ("iykyk"). Whether it was the thrill of the game or the joy of the company, bingo brought her endless happiness.

L Awaiting her arrival in eternal rest is her beloved son Chris Wright, her mother James Etta Wright, her father Laval Woodard, her aunt Clarissa "Nanny" Woodard Griffin, and other cherished family and friends. We take great comfort in knowing she is now reunited with them, surrounded by love and peace.

Cassandra leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will forever live on through her surviving children: Mary (Tony), JaVonte (Aaron), Meisha, Desire, Taraji, and Le'Andrea Wright. Her grandchildren: Paislee, Paiton, Paison, and Pailon Wright, and her grand pups Jack Daniels and Hennessy Wright. She is also survived by her siblings: Marcelette (Donald) Wright Winters, Gregory Wright, Daryl (Denise) Wright, Catrella Wright Malbreaux, Stephanie January, and Mittie Wright; as well as her Aunt Tee (Glenn) George, her Uncle Nathaniel

"Pokebone" Woodard, her partner Larry Washington, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Cassandra "San" Wright, your love, strength, and laughter will never be forgotten. Rest now in peace and joy, knowing you were deeply loved and will be forever missed. Your spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know you.
