Anthony J. Walker born March 2, 1948, Crowley, LA to Ernest and Louise Williams Walker. He passed on May 25, 2026 in Oakland, CA surrounded with love from his long-time love Barbara Walker, Felicia Walker, Sarah Walker, and Marissa Alexander. Anthony referred to by loved ones as Tony attended St. Theresa Catholic School Elementary when he received his first communion and conformation. Attended Ross High School in Crowley, LA. Where teachers and classmates loved him. Played football, basketball, and played the drums in the marching band for which he received multiple awards. Graduated from high school in 1967. Moved to California where he lived with his Uncle Joseph Williams. Tony served in the United States Army and fought in the Vietnam War driving tanks where he received a Purple Heart award. Later Tony attended Laney Community College in Oakland, CA. Tony was previously married for 16 years to Victoria Walker with whom he shares two children Felicia, and Marquis Walker; 12 Grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by both his parents, Ernest and Louise Williams Walker; brother, Warren Walker, Sr; Aunts, Florence Johnson and Louella “Lady” Malbrough; and Uncle, Joseph Williams. He is survived by his sisters, Overita (Shang) Meaux, Sarah Walker, Gwendolyn Walker; and brother, Carl Walker; along with his only living cousin, Madeline Sparks. Tony was a devoted partner, father, brother, ,uncle, and friend who shared his warm smile and southern hospitality with everyone he encountered. He enjoyed time at the golf course, the casino and spending time with his family. Tony will forever hold a place in our hearts.
