It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of ANTHONY "GABBY" GUIDRY, who left this world on August 24, 2025, at his son's home surrounded by his loved one's. Born on October 6, 1960, in Jennings, Louisiana, Anthony brought joy and laughter to all who knew him, living a life filled with love, family, and friendship.

Anthony was the beloved son of Ivan and Nita Guidry, who preceded him in death along with his cherished sisters, Mary Jones and Judy Smith, and his brother-in-law, Willie Jones Sr. He also mourned the loss of his nephews, Willie Jones Jr., Randall Jones, and Stevie Jones. Anthony's legacy will continue on through his loving family, which includes his devoted sister, Joyce Jones, and his children: Mayhosha Palfrey, Keyomi "Five" Palfrey (Martha), Antoinette Duhon, Anthony Duhon, Ivan Lyons, Ashley Duhon. He also raised Taneka Duhon and Tyanna Duhon. He also leaves behind his nephew, Murphy Smith, his great-nephew, Jamall Jones, and niece, Coretta Jones, along with a host of grandchildren and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.

A proud graduate of Jennings High School. In 1981, Anthony furthered his education at Jeff Davis Votec, where he honed his skills as a certified electrician. His work ethic and determination were evident in all he did, and he took great pride in his craft.

Outside of his professional life, Anthony was a man of simple pleasures. He loved nothing more than spending time outdoors, especially fishing with his podnas and barbecuing with family. He was an enthusiastic fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and the New Orleans Saints, often gathering with friends and family to cheer on his favorite teams.

Anthony's life will be celebrated at his funeral service on August 30, 2025, at 11:00 AM, viewing starts at 9:00 held at Mortuary Center of Southwest Louisiana 16388 HWY 26, Jennings, LA 70546. In this time of grief, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to his daughter-in-law, Martha Palfrey, Lamm Hospice, and Chasity Paddio, owner of Mortuary Center of Southwest Louisiana, for their compassionate support during this difficult time.

As we remember Anthony "Gabby" Guidry, let us celebrate a life lived fully, marked by love, laughter, and an indomitable spirit. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
