Anthony
Bellow
May 14, 1975 — Jul 22, 2025
Anthony Bellow, Sr., age 50, of Elton, Louisiana, passed away leaving
behind a legacy of laughter, love and loyalty. Born on May 14, 1975, Anthony
was known affectionately as "Smokey" by his cousin Earl and many others who
cherished his vibrant spirit and magnetic presence.
Anthony was a devoted father to his two children, Jasmone Johnson
and Anthony Bellow, Jr., both of Houston, Texas. He also leaves behind his
loving mother, Mary Bellow of Elton, LA; his three sisters, Nicole Bellow and
Delores Bellow of Elton, and Yolanda Ewell (Alfred Ewell) of Baytown, TX; and
one brother, Sherman Bellow, Jr. (Chantel Wilson-Bellow) of Elton, LA.
Anthony was a proud godfather to Joseph Bellow and Sabrina Bellow,
and a beloved uncle to 2 nieces, 9 nephews, and 7 great-nieces and nephews.
His memory will be cherished by his Aunt Lillian Ann Parker (Tom) and Aunt
Carrie Withers (Henry), a host of uncles, cousins, and friends whose lives he
touched with his humor and warmth.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sherman Bellow, Sr., and his
brother, Joseph Bellow.
Anthony was the life of every party and family
gathering. He loved playing spades and blackjack,
often entertaining those around him with his
trademark "trash talking" that brought smiles and
laughter to all. He spent many years in Houston, TX,
working as a dedicated plant operator while living
with his cousin Earl, and later returned to Louisiana
where he worked as a skilled plumber.
Above all, Anthony was a loving father, brother, uncle, and friend. His
joyful spirit and caring heart left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He
accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age by Reverend Joshua Frank at
Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, a foundation that stayed with him throughout his
life.
Anthony Bellow, Sr. will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His
light, laughter, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved
him.
